Charging and starting systems

Your charging and starting system includes the following parts, namely: battery, starter, alternator, cables and battery connectors. These parts may wear down over time. You should ask for a visual inspection of this system at least once per year. If you notice one of the following signs, your charging/starting system may be on the verge of failure: the battery light in your dashboard lights up; your vehicle won’t start, or has difficulty starting; there are strange noises when starting up the vehicle; or your dashboard lighting dims while you’re driving or breaking. When in doubt, our team can inspect the condition of these components and advise if some repair or replacement work is necessary. To avoid unexpected breakdowns or towing while on the road, we recommend that you have your charging/starting system checked at least once per year, or before the start of winter.
